Alien at the Movies

It's year 3 of its 5 year mission, but will the U.S.S. Enterprise survive this latest adventure into the unknown frontier? Once again, the crew must face almost impossible odds outnumbered & outgunned to defeat their new nemesis, Krall (Idris Elba). Scripted by Simon Pegg, who plays Scotty, this film feels more like the old tv series than the first 2 Star Trek films. Director Justin Lin takes the helm but producer J.J. Abrams still manages again to place his childhood buddy Greg Grunberg on board StarBase Yorktown for his film project . The special effects are stunning. There is a nice tribute to Leonard Nimoy. The basic story line is about standing together in a fight between warmongers & peacekeepers.
