Rescue Dawn
Based on a true story, an American fighter pilot is shot down during a secret bombing mission over Laos, captured by the enemy, and held in a prison camp. The pilot is Dieter Dengler, (superbly played by the talented Christian Bale) who is smart, determined, and eternally optimistic. This film may be hard to watch for some because of the brutalities and the hardships suffered by the prisoners. Watch these men struggle to survive as their bodies and minds deteriorate. You will be rooting for their escape and rescue. The movie's emotional ending may bring tears to your eyes.
