Hitman

It’s “Dark Angel” meets Jason Bourne meets the “Transporter” meets “From Russia with Love” in this hired assassin story based on a video game character. Timothy Olyphant is the bald-headed, bar-coded, mysterious mercenary (Agent 47) who must figure out who’s trying to kill him while dragging a sexy Russian whore around with him. The hero plays it so cool that he emanates the personality of an ice cube. This film has a Euro trash feel with a mediocre script driving it. Except for some flashes of shoot ‘em up, cut ‘em up, blow ‘em up, this film is kind of boring and senseless. It is probably just like the video game! Alien just can’t figure out why it is so hard for the pursuers to spot a guy with a big bar code tattooed to his bald head. Who is the mastermind who decided to mark his team of assassins in such an obviously telling way? He might as well put a big "L" on their foreheads.

Alien gives it 1 ½ “gamers delight” stars out of 4.
