La Mission

Benjamin Bratt takes us on a colorful cultural journey into the Mission District of San Francisco. It is a touching story of a man’s struggle to understand and deal with his son’s secret. This thought provoking script skillfully explores issues about love, anger, shame, pain, deep-rooted prejudices, and acceptance. The dialogue, clothing, settings, attitudes, and the low-rider cars give this movie an honest and realistic feel. Bratt’s performance is outstanding. Alien loved the film’s marvelous message of trying to understand others.

Alien gives it 3 "going low and slow with the Mission Boyz" stars out of 4.
