Premium Express
It's "Quicksilver" meets "The Transporter" meets "The French Connection" meets Google Map Street View when Wylee "coyote" (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) has a bad day trying to deliver a secured package. This well-told story is enshrouded in mystery involving a ticket, bike messengers, Chinese gambling, police, roommates, and the streets of New York. This breath-taking thrill ride is a visual treat at break neck speeds weaving through traffic and dodging obstacles. The bike stunts are absolutely amazing. Clarification comes as the clock rewinds and the suspense builds as the minutes tick toward the deadline. Some mild humor is injected here and there just so your heart doesn't explode from the adrenalin coursing through your veins. Gordon-Levitt is excellent as always and perfect for the part. Look for a reality clip buried in the middle of the credits.
Alien gives it 3 ½ "fixed gear, steel frame, no brakes, can't stop" stars out of 4.
