Based on a true story, undocumented teens at an Arizona high school compete in an underwater robotics contest against the big boys. George Lopez stars as the reluctant science and math club advisor to a team of unlikely partners. Jamie Lee Curtis, Marisa Tomei, and Esai Morales play good supporting roles. However, it's the four kids' characters that sells this incredible inspirational underdog story. Even though the movie feels like it has been through the Hollywood spin cycle to make it all clean and tidy, it's set up as audiences would want to be. Alien loved the message of the film as well as the real life photos & follow up at the conclusion.
