All Saints

In Tennessee, a salesman-turned-pastor Michael Spurlock (John Corbett) is assigned the task of closing the tiny All Saints church due the inability to continue to make the mortgage payments. However, Spurlock has a change of heart when a group of Burmese refugees become part of his tiny congregation of a dozen or so. When he hears a message from God, he sets a farming plan in motion to save the church & help these refugees. As roadblocks begin to derail the plan, Spurlock begins having self doubts. Based on a true story, this is an amazing inspirational story about having faith, not giving up, & a community coming together. At the end of the film, there are summaries & photographs of the real people portrayed. This film is not scheduled to release in theaters until August 25.

Alien gives it 3 "planting seeds of hope" stars out of 4.
