Happy Death Day

Some make compare this film to "Groundhog Day" or "Edge of Tomorrow" but I liken it more to "Before I Fall" except it's centered around a birthday instead of Valentines Day. It's Teresa's birthday & someone is trying to kill her in this horror/comedy. Oddly, every time she dies, she wakes to repeat the day so she must figure out who the mystery killer is & hopefully escape this time loop. This is just a silly excuse to watch the protagonist get murdered over & over again and to see if you can figure out the killer before she does. Tree (apparently her nickname) is a sorority bitch with a lesson to learn. Lamest excuse for the team mascot just the outfit the hoodied masked killer - Bayfield Babies. It is more of a murder mystery than true horror as it pokes fun at the genre. If you don't take this seriously, you maybe entertained a bit.
Alien gives it 3 "today is the first day of the rest of your life" stars out of 4.
