Miss Potter

Almost everyone knows the tale of Peter Rabbit and his siblings (Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cottontail). Now learn the story of the book’s author, Beatrix Potter. Miss Potter (Renée Zellweger) was not only a wonderful children’s book writer, but also an amazing illustrator and a modern woman before her time. Ewan McGregor plays Miss Potter’s publisher. Zellweger creates a strong independent character, who seems a bit eccentric when she talks to her drawings. Zellweger’s performance is remarkable. The beautiful English countryside is breathtaking and an inspiration to Miss Potter’s creativity. This film is as charming and whimsical as Miss Potter’s books. This delightful treat is sweet and sad.

Alien gives it 3 ½ “inspiring Lake District” stars out of 4.
