Practical Magic 2

The Owens family is back… sisters Sally (Sandra Bullock) & Gillian (Nicole Kidman), Aunt Bridget “Jet” (Dianne Wiest), Aunt Frances (Stockard Channing), and Sally’s daughters, Kylie (Joey King) & Antonia (Maisie Williams). At the end of the 1998 original, Sally was grieving about the death of her husband so she gave up her magical powers & cast a spell on her daughters so they would forget they were witches & knew magic. All has been good as the girls are now teens & life for the Owens seem rather normal. All gather for a birthday party. But that deathwatch beetle is about to begin its clicking again. But who does the beetle click for this time? Kylie has a boyfriend & they are in love so there is an accident that puts him in the hospital. Now the Owens curse is revealed & Kylie  snatches the left-hand book of shadows & tries to save her boyfriend. Sally & Gillian give chase because they previously experienced the consequences. This all leads to a big showdown where dark magic could have dramatic impacts on this witchy family. Will the Owens curse ever be broken or will their male lovers continue to be doomed? I️ like how this sequel plays out.
