Alien at the Movies

In Mississippi during the mid 60’s, racism is still blatantly raging. Missing civil rights workers, ballot box poll tax issue, & fire bombing houses has caused the FBI to take an interest. Special agent Wayne Strider (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II), who is black, is sent in to investigate but is being stonewalled. So the FBI steps it up by enlisting some unconventional help from Greg Scarpa (Mark Wahlberg), mob enforcer from Brooklyn, not Jersey. This sets up the “Odd Couple” buddy cop situation with these two opposite personalities who must now work together. One is by the book & the other is what rules, there are no rules. This movie is intense. The racism will make your blood boil. The violence is bloody, vicious, & cruel. See how it all plays out. Oh… did I️ mention this is based on true events.

Alien gives it 3 “Martin Luther King Jr - Malcolm X” stars out of 4.
