Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End

This is not a sneak preview. This film has already released.

Your favorite pirates are back to take you on a nearly 3 hour journey from Singapore to Davy Jones’ Locker to Ship Wreck Cove. Was there a plan here or were they just making it up as they go? The film must have gotten its heading from Jack’s compass because it starts out looking like a musical and becomes an extinction of the pirate way story. The movie is crammed with so many characters and stuff that your head will feel as if it were in a maelstrom. Alien also had some trouble interpreting the pirate speak. The payoff does come at the end when you get the expected climatic battle scenes along with a couple of surprises. The special effects are phenomenal and spectacular. Don’t worry Johnny Depp fans, you’ll get plenty of Captain Jack. The movie is too long and needs more swashbuckling action scenes. True Pirates fans will love this one anyway and must stay through the credits for that last telling scene.

Alien gives it 2 ½ “a fool’s chance” stars out of 4.
