Waitress

The bittersweet lives around a local Southern diner unfold in this dark comedy about loneliness and love, but featuring some spectacular pies with strange names. Jenna (Keri Russell), the fantastic pie maker, is unhappily married to an awful husband and is seeking to escape. The diner is filled with colorful characters that you will savor. Andy Griffith, Cheryl Hines, and Nathan Fillion play some key roles. Russell is amazing. She will capture your heart. The film, like some of the featured pies, seems to be composed of odd combinations, but Alien found it simply delicious and yummy. It will leave you wanting more of this tasty treat.

Alien gives it 3 ½ “make an I-Hate-My-Husband pie and start fresh” stars out of 4.
