An engaged couple (John Frasinski and Mandy Moore) suffers through some peculiar prenuptial tests devised by an odd reverend (Robin Williams) before their wedding ceremony. The movie has good intentions, but the couple’s compatibility lessons seem more mean spirited than funny. The film might have worked better if Williams’ character was a wacky marriage counselor instead of a man from the church of comedy.
If you have seen the trailers, then you have already seen the best gags in the movie.
Alien gives it 1 ½ “minister from hell” stars out of 4.
