Get Smart
Maxwell Smart (Steve Carell), Agent 99 (Anne Hathaway), and the Chief (Alan Arkin) are back to lead CONTROL in its battle against KAOS. Fans of the 60s spy spoof will get a big kick out the many references to the TV series. Those silly running jokes are timeless and still hilarious. This remake has gotten smarter. It takes an obvious gag premise and gives it a surprise twist to keep the audience in stitches. Carell is the perfect replacement for Don Adams. Hathaway and Arkin play well against Carell. Add in the charismatic Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and a bunch of surprise cameos and you got quite a funny cast.
