The Incredible Hulk
Marvel Studios takes another shot at bringing the raging gamma-dosed green gargantuan back to the big screen to make up for Ang Lee’s disappointing 2003 version. Non-Hulk fans will have to pay close attention to the opening moments as it speeds through the gamma ray experiment gone wrong and sends Dr. Bruce Banner off to his fugitive life style. True Fans will see some of their favorite characters (Banner’s girlfriend Betty, General Ross, and the Abomination), tributes to the TV series, some Hulk humor, other Marvel references, and some entertaining cameos including the traditional appearance of Stan Lee. When the Hulk emerges you can expect some tremendous special effects action true to the comic books. You can tell this movie was made by real Hulk lovers, including Edward Norton who also helped write the screenplay. Marvel Comic fans won’t be disappointed and will be intrigued by the closing scene.
Alien gives it 3 ½ “clash of the Titans” stars out of 4.
