Wanted
The life of a pathetic accounting wimp (James McAvoy) turns upside down when enters the Matrixesque world of uber-assassins (including Morgan Freeman and Angelina Jolie) in this over-the-top, tongue-in-cheek, ultra-action thriller. Be sure to check all of your senses of reality at the door if you want to enjoy this film featuring one impossible action scene after another. Freeman and Joie are always fun to watch even though they are mainly replaying their previous roles of “The Boss” (Lucky Number Slevin) and Mrs. Smith. McAvoy grows into the Mr. Smith part. The film is filled with extreme action with a twisted sense of humor. Vengenge, rats and the “Loom of Fate” play into the mystery of who is who and who needs to die next. This movie is sheer guilty pleasure fun. Rated "R" of violence, language, sexuality, and Jolie's tatooed naked backside.
Alien gives it 3 “adrenalin rush” stars out of 4.
