Brush up on your Cantonese for this latest entry to the sci-fi action world where a mover and a watcher are searching for a pusher while evading some sniffs and another pusher from the Division. Along the way, they use a shifter, a wiper, a shadow, and a stitcher to help fight off the bleeders. Don't worry, it will make more sense when you see the film. This great plot idea gets kind of derailed by the production company. Like some of the victims in this film, the audience gets 'pushed' by the Hong Kong hustle. Some famous actors (Dakota Fanning, Chris Evans, Camilla Belle, and Djimon Hounsou) were hired to star in this mediocre Chinese action film pretending to be a slick American sci-fi flick. No longer the cute little girl, pink hair streaked teen Dakota even gets liquored up and utters the sh*t word. Maybe some day someone will remake this disappointment into the dazzler that it could have been.
Alien gives it 2 "psychic espionage and enhanced paranormal operations" stars out of 4.
