The Old Man & the Gun
A 74-year-old bank robber (Robert Redford) is described by witnesses as polite, a gentleman, & smiling. Car trouble provides an opportunity for a little romance to bloom. Sissy Spacek plays the love interest. I love see these two back on the big screen again. Set in 1981, John Hunt (Casey Affleck) is the detective on the trail of this elusive bank robber. Age has weathered Redford’s face but he still his charm & youthful smile. This delightful story is a lightweight crime drama that relies more on Redford’s natural charm to carry the show.
