Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald
The Harry Potter Universe prequel continues with Part 2 of an apparent 5 part series. The shy magizoologist Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) is back & is sent discreetly by Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) to stop escaped prisoner & dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) from gathering pure-blood wizard & witch followers to dominate over the No-Maj/Muggle population. Jacob & the Goldstein sisters also return to assist in the hunt. The special effects & the creatures are spectacular & amazing. However, the abundance of characters with their own story threads may challenge audiences to completely makes sense of the big picture that is not even half way there. But if you are a fan from the source books you probably understand the bread crumb clues left along this mysterious trail. I️ will undoubtedly need to rewatch this film & wait to see where Grindelwald’s agenda to Make Magic Great Again takes us.
