Instant Family
Two house flippers, Pete & Ellie Wagner (Mark Wahlberg & Rose Byrne) consider foster parenting a teenage girl Lizzie (Isabela Moner) & her 2 younger siblings, Juan & Lita. It’s a fairly predictable storyline about parenting, foster care, child custody, rebellious teenager, & misbehaving children. But it is a heartwarming & hilarious film. Wahlberg & Byrne are perfect as the unprepared couple struggling to be the perfect parents. The kids are cute & endearing. A great collection of quirky characters round out the supporting cast. This is a fun family film full of laughs. Family photos are posted throughout the credits, presumably of foster parents & their kids.
Alien gives it 3½ “court teddy bears” stars out of 4.
