Onward
Wizards, dragons, & fairies... oh my!
It’s Harry Potter meets Lord of the Rings meets Indiana Jones meets Dungeons & Dragons when 2 teenage elf brothers go on a quest to find a little bit of magic so that they can visit with their long deceased dad for just one more day. Ian is a shy, timid 16-year-old lacking self-confidence. Barley is the loud-mouth, trouble-maker older brother. They live in a fantasy suburban world where the secrets of magic has been forgotten & have been replaced by advances in technology. This is a charming animated adventure story about chasing one’s past, checking off one’s bucket list, & discovering one’s self. Pixar/Disney has done it again creating an emotionally entertaining tale about finding more than what one is searching for.
Alien gives it 3½ “gelatinous green cube of goo” stars out of 4.
