After the disappearance of their mother Eudora (Helena Bonham Carter), Enola deciphers clues left behind by her mother & secretly sets off for London. Thus begins the crime adventure involving a missing boy, women’s suffrage, a murder attempt, a safe house, & a boarding school. This smart young detective is breaking new ground for women’s rights in a time when it wasn’t acceptable. This one feels like it’s targeting & inspiring young girls to be all that they can be.
