In 2002 Fort Worth, Texas, there was a boys baseball team who was the worst in their league. Think “Bad News Bears”. If you like boys, baseball, & underdog stories, this is a great inspirational one. Luke Wilson plays Coach Bobby & his son is on the team. But when Bobby becomes ill & must step down, team manager Jon (Greg Kinnear) becomes their new coach & must prep the team to possibly qualify for the Little League World Series. See what motivates the Westside All-Stars & how the town rallies to support them. This sounds like a classic made up Hollywood fairytale story, but it’s based on true events.
